Welcome To The Living Forest

The Living Forest Limited is a professional and friendly company which has been operating for over 25 years, providing the highest standards of tree care and forestry services across the South East of England. Our wide range of clients include various property management companies, local developers, the National Trust, Kent County Council, Borough and Parish councils, schools, private estates and numerous individual home owners.

With over 100 years combined arboricultural and forestry experience, our consultancy team is able to offer a comprehensive and skilled service, specialising in tree surveys, tree safety inspections and woodland management.

Management Team

Mick Lott

Michael is the original founder of the company established 25 years ago providing a broad range of professional arboricultural and forestry services in the Southeast of England. He has over 36 years’ experience in the industry, including Head of Forestry and Arboriculture for the National Trust, Kent and East Sussex, with responsibility for managing works and training teams across the various properties. During his 15 years with the National Trust, he was instrumental in co-ordinating and assisting with the clearing works for the great 1987 storm and the subsequent 1990 storm.

Interests: Motorcycling, historic ironwork, restoring old machinery, camping and homebrewing.

Magda Marner

Magda is a co-owner of the company and has been instrumental in the expansion of the company and developing the breadth and depth of our arboricultural and forestry services. She has a huge wealth of experience in finance having previously been a Collateral Manager and Sterling Position Keeper within the UK money markets. Her primary roles include the control of budgets and managing the company’s invoicing and accounts.

Interests: Kick boxing, karate, running, gardening and reading.

David Levett

David is a chartered arboriculturist with over 35 years professional and managerial arboricultural experience, both in the public and private sectors. He has sound practical experience of arboriculture including tree safety inspections, trees in relation to construction, tree preservation orders, preparing reports and contract documents. He has managed the successful delivery of arboricultural consultancy services within a number of large framework contracts, developing partnership working relationships and implementing added value initiatives. He also successfully implemented an enhanced safety risk centred approach to the zoning of tree inspections for Kent County Council Schools.

Interests: Football, golf, gardening, walking and horse racing
